# Soft delete a source from identities

Soft deletes a source from all identities that reference it. The source and its data are marked as deleted but can be restored later. Merge and linkage history is preserved for audit.

## Request fields (application/json):

  - `auditId` (string)
    Unique audit identifier for correlating requests and responses.

  - `auditLogMap` (object)
    Map of string keys to string values.

  - `trackingId` (string)
    Optional client-defined correlation ID.

  - `content` (object)
    Soft-delete a source across all matching entities.

  - `content.sourceToSoftDelete` (object, required)
    Tracks an identity back to its source system.

  - `content.sourceToSoftDelete.date` (string)

  - `content.sourceToSoftDelete.name` (string)
    Unique source system name across Verato.

  - `content.sourceToSoftDelete.id` (string)
    Native ID of the identity within the source.
